What is RVTV?
Q: What is RVTV?A: Rogue Valley Community Television, via Southern Oregon University in Ashland, are the operators of public and government access cable television channels in Jackson and Josephine counties.
RVTV is what is referred to as a PEG (Public - Education - Government) station.
RVTV operates five cable channels from his headquarters in the RVTV Multimedia Center next to the McNeal Pavilion on the SOU Campus in Ashland, Oregon.
RVTV cablecasts on:
Multi-usage: Channel 9 on Charter Communications and Ashland Home Network in Jackson County.
Government usage: Channel 14 on Charter Communications/Channel 14 on Ashland Home Network in Jackson County.
Public Access usage: Channel 15 on Charter Communications/Channel 15 on Ashland Home Network in Jackson County and Channel 15 in Josephine County.
Community Reader Board: Channel 99 on Ashland Home Network in Jackson County.
Government usage: Channel 14 on Charter Communications in Josephine County.
RVTV has been in operation since 1989. We have a staff equivalent of 4 full-time employees, and about 6 college students.
This facility is a teaching center, with students and community volunteers acting as crew for local cable programming. For further information please contact us.
